The Dragon’s historic Tap Room, for which time has virtually stood-still since it was re-constructed in 1838 - the same year as the current village Church nearby.
Essentially unchanged since the 19th Century, the Tap Room has always been - and remains to this day - a veritable haven for active rural, village and community groups.

Belived to have afforded Charles I. refreshment on two occasions in July, 1665. Another famous visitor was Francis Russell, 5th Duke of Bedford who succeeded his grandfather, Now in the family burying-place two miles away at Chenies.
